Terms and Conditions
Last updated September 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
Snappu is operated by PAWS Systems. By creating an account, uploading or importing photos, or using a Snappu event page, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Snappu.
2. Who Snappu is for
Snappu is used by three kinds of people: Organizers who create events and manage an organization, Photographers invited to add photos to an event, and Attendees who find their own photos with a selfie. Each role comes with the responsibilities described below.
3. Accounts
Organizers and photographers need an account to use Snappu, and must be at least 16 years old. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Attendees don't need an account to find or download their photos.
4. Photo uploads and content rights
Photographers keep ownership of the photos they upload or import. By adding a photo to an event, you grant Snappu a license to store, process, and display it — including running face-matching on it — for as long as the event and its photos remain on the platform, and to let that event's attendees view and download it. You're responsible for having the right to add each photo, and for obtaining any consents required from people who appear in it under applicable law.
You may only add genuine photos taken at the event. You must not add sexual or intimate images of anyone, images that were AI-generated or manipulated to depict a real person, or any content that is illegal or that someone hasn't consented to. Snappu doesn't generate or edit images, and we remove content and suspend accounts that break this rule.
5. Google Drive import
Photographers can optionally connect a Google Drive account to add photos from a Drive folder instead of uploading them. Snappu only reads from your Drive; it never changes or deletes your files. For each photo you import, Snappu keeps a display-size copy and a thumbnail. The original stays in your Drive and is read from there when an attendee downloads it.
You must have the right to share the photos you import. If you disconnect Drive, move or delete an original, or lose access to it, downloads of that photo fall back to the display-size copy. Your use of Google Drive is also subject to Google's own terms. How we handle Drive data is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Photo retention and deletion
Snappu is a distribution service for an event's photos, not permanent storage. If an event has had no activity — no new photos, and no attendee scans, selfie searches, or downloads — for 60 consecutive days, its photos may be permanently removed from Snappu. Organizers and photographers are responsible for keeping their own copies of any photos they want to preserve beyond that window.
7. Face matching and selfie search
Snappu helps attendees find themselves in event photos by comparing a selfie they submit against the faces detected in that event's photos. A selfie is used only to run that search and is not stored. Face data from event photos is used only for matching within the same event. Organizers and photographers are responsible for making sure photo capture and face-matching at their event comply with applicable privacy and biometric-data laws in their jurisdiction, including giving attendees notice where required. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
8. Payment and billing
Billing on Snappu is per event and one-time — paying for a tier unlocks a photo and daily search limit for that event, with no recurring charge. Payments are processed by our payment partner. Enterprise pricing is negotiated individually and isn't a fixed sticker price; an Enterprise quote is confirmed and applied once payment has been arranged directly with our team.
9. Acceptable use
Don't use Snappu to upload content you don't have the rights to, to harass or misrepresent someone, to identify or track people outside the event they attended, or to attempt to access another organization's events, photos, or account data. We may suspend or close accounts and events that violate this.
10. Event closures
Organizers can archive their own events. Snappu may also close an event or its uploads to enforce these terms or applicable law, independent of the organizer's own settings.
11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Snappu is provided "as is." Face matching is probabilistic and may occasionally miss a match or surface an incorrect one — don't rely on it for anything beyond photo discovery. To the extent permitted by law, Snappu isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the date at the top, and continued use of Snappu after an update means you accept the revised terms.
