What Snappu is

Snappu is an event photo delivery service. Event organizers and their photographers add the photos taken at an event, and attendees find the photos they appear in by taking a selfie. Snappu compares the selfie with the faces in that one event's photos and shows the matches, so attendees don't have to scroll through thousands of pictures. The selfie is discarded after matching and is never stored.

How Snappu uses Google data

  • Sign in with Google uses your name, email address and profile picture to create your account.
  • Google Drive import (optional, for photographers) uses read-only access so a photographer can pick a Drive folder of their own event photos and add them to their event. Snappu never creates, changes or deletes anything in Drive, and the photographer can disconnect at any time.

What Snappu does not do

  • Snappu does not generate, edit, or alter images. It doesn't use AI to create images of people, and it is not used to create synthetic, sexual or intimate imagery of anyone, including AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII).
  • Photos are shown only as the photographer took them, and only to that event's attendees.
  • Google user data is not sold, not used for advertising, and not used to train AI or machine-learning models.
